Many things have changed in the last two years, including the few international travel possibilities. But now, we are all getting prepared to return to “normal” life and enjoy visiting new places worldwide.
This time, we show you the first and great destination you should add to your list: Jaco, Costa Rica, located on the Central Pacific Coast.
Jaco, Costa Rica has become a top-rated destination. It is a paradise for those who enjoy the beach, warm weather, national parks and reserves, and activities such as deep-sea fishing, surfing, horseback riding, rafting, canyoning & rappelling, ATV tours, and much more! Also, you can find the Herradura Pacific Beach and Playacar City located right next door and enjoy casinos 24/7, Waikiki-style hotels, and many options for travelers who are looking for all different kinds of adventures. Let’s take a deeper look.
Jacó is one of the most famous surfing destinations in all of Central America, and it’s easy to see why. The waves break over the vast deep blue water coming in from different directions, which means you never know what type or size will appear. The photo possibilities are endless! The best part is that never too crowded since most people come during low tide.
The food in Jacó is some of the best you’ll find on this side of Costa Rica. Lunch starts at USD 5, but you can also get a 20 dollar burger. In addition, there are many excellent world-class restaurants for any budget serving steak, seafood fillets, or Mexican food. A great example is Taco Bar, which has fresh fish, chicken, and affordable beef tacos.
Your taste buds won’t be disappointed no matter what type of dish you enjoy; this makes eating out not only possible but enjoyable because there will always be something new waiting around every corner. Take a look at restaurant options in Jaco.
Do you want to party? Jaco has dozens of pub crawls and bars in this beach town. At The Moon Shine, on the main strip beside popular bar Pub Orange, you can get $2 cocktails and have fun next to many people under a great atmosphere as well, have a few beers with local surfers at Swell Bar. But the best activity is to go to bed early and catch the sunrise surf (and at 10 AM. enjoy the best waves🌊).
Playa Herradura, just 4.4 miles (7 km) north, provides a very peaceful environment, and you’ll have access not only to the black sand but also to beautiful views of both oceans! Or Playa Hermosa is the best place to see marine life. Olive Ridley sea turtles have chosen this beach as their nesting ground, so you can watch these amazing creatures come ashore every year for just one month!
The dry season is when you want to visit Jaco Beach. The best time of year for vacationing and sunbathing!
Take nice pictures: Jaco Beach offers one of the best sunset views in the country, so don’t forget your camera!
Enjoy the incredible surfing opportunities. The waves in Jaco are perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers alike.
