Sailfish Bite Rages On

For what should traditionally be the end of sailfish season, we have still been seeing plenty of action over the past few weeks in the off shore Pacific waters out of Los Suenos, Costa Rica. Averaging anywhere from 20-50 bites per day, sailfish numbers are strong and the chase has stayed bountiful. On a typical day we are catching and releasing anywhere from 10-30 sailfish.

Marlin have started to join in the fun as well, and we're getting approximately 5 shots a week to haul one of these big game fish in. Delicious Dorado, (Mahi Mahi), are also showing up in numbers offshore, and are averaging in the 20-40 lbs range. We have been catching 1 or 2 of these fantastic table fish on every trip we make.

Inshore, bottom fishing has been excellent. Large numbers of groupers, tilefish and cubera snappers can be found, along with the exotic and highly sought after Roosterfish, all of which have been culminating around the inshore reefs just out of Los Suenos Marina. Our excellent quality live bait never fails to attract.

No matter where you're from, fishing in Costa Rica's calm, flat waters is a sport fisherman's dream. It's upper echelon fishing at its finest. If this is something that you have always wanted to do, don't delay. Book your Los Suenos fishing charter today and start living the dream!
