Mahi Mahi Time!

August is Mahi Mahi season in the calm Pacific waters out of Los Suenos Marina in Los Suenos, Costa Rica, and as we move closer towards the end of August the numbers of these delicious table fish are steadily increasing offshore. Offshore sportsfishing is also providing us with good numbers of Yellowfin Tuna, to add to the decent numbers of Sailfish and Marlin we are already seeing. The numbers of Sails and Marlins should drastically pick up within the next month or so as well, proving yet again why our flat, Costa Rican waters are world famous for big game sportsfishing.

Inshore, we have been pulling huge amounts of Groupers and Snappers during bottom trolling along the beautiful near-coast and we expect these number to continue and even grow. Fishing for a fresh catch dinner for your family while on vacation is as quintessentially as “Costa Rican” as it gets, and these bountiful inshore waters have been on fire in recent weeks. We are also seeing decent numbers of Roosterfish, Tilefish and Rose Fish as well as Bonitas and smaller Tuna.

Charter spaces are always limited out of the Los Suenos Marina, so to be sure you don’t miss out, book your full day inshore or offshore portsfishing charter today. Our knowledgeable and helpful agents are standing by to assist you!
