February 2026 is here, and the waters off the Central Pacific Coast are delivering world-class numbers. We are deep into the dry season ("Verano"), and our captains are reporting record-breaking releases at the Los Sueños Marina.

Mid-February Fishing Weather: Plan Accordingly
Conditions are prime. We are seeing ideal "blue water" conditions just miles offshore.
- Air Temp: Highs up to 94°F (34°C).
- Water Conditions: Flat seas with excellent visibility.
- Wind: Moderate speeds, perfect for trolling.

What’s Biting in February 2026?
Offshore Giants (The Big Game)
February is synonymous with Billfish. If you are chasing a Grand Slam, this is your month.
- Pacific Sailfish: Currently the most active bite. These are the fastest fish in the ocean (up to 70mph) and offer acrobatic fights. Peak density is expected through March.
- Blue & Black Marlin: We are seeing solid numbers of Marlin in the spread. Specimens over 500 lbs are not uncommon this week.
- Yellowfin Tuna: While traditionally peaking in the Green Season, we are landing consistent 40-100lb footballs around spinner dolphin pods this month.
Inshore Action
- Roosterfish: The "King of Inshore." Great for half-day trips. We are catching trophy-sized Roosters (50lb+) near the rocks.
- Mahi Mahi (Dorado): scattered but present, making for excellent table fare.
